One of the most common things people tell me is this:
“I feel stuck, but I don’t really know why.”
Years ago, I would have assumed that was a mindset issue. I would have thought that if someone felt stuck, it meant they were telling themselves the wrong story or focusing on the wrong thoughts.
That assumption made sense at the time. Mindset matters. Perspective matters. Internal dialogue matters.
But here’s what challenged that belief for me.
I worked relentlessly on my own mindset, and I still felt stuck.
I was reading the books, doing the work, reframing my thoughts, and staying disciplined. On paper, I was doing everything “right.” And yet, momentum wasn’t showing up the way it should have.
That’s when something important clicked.
If mindset alone were the issue, all that effort should have created movement. Instead, I felt like I was pushing hard while something invisible kept pulling the brakes.
What I eventually realized, and what I now see all the time, is this:
Feeling stuck usually isn’t about thinking the wrong thoughts.
It’s about not knowing where the friction actually is.
Most high performers don’t stall because they’re lazy, unmotivated, or negative. They stall because something subtle keeps disrupting momentum, and they’ve lived with it long enough that it feels normal.
That’s why my role as a coach isn’t to fix people or tell them what to do.
My job is to ask the right questions.
Questions that help someone see patterns they’ve been inside of for too long to notice.
Questions that bring clarity to what’s actually slowing things down.
Questions that allow them to recognize what’s been quietly draining energy or focus without realizing it.
That’s what coaching really looks like.
Not advice.
Not motivation.
Not pressure.
It’s guided clarity.
Once you can clearly see what’s creating friction, momentum becomes much easier. Decisions feel cleaner. Actions feel more aligned. Progress stops feeling forced.
If you’ve been feeling stuck and can’t quite explain why, that’s exactly what a Strategy Session is for.
On the call, we get clarity on what’s really keeping you stuck and what working together would actually look like.
